Karen is here!! She's the first to arrive. It was so much fun going to the airport and seeing a familiar face! The last time she was with me in Italy was in 2000...so it's been 24 years!! That sounds so crazy.
She and I checked in to our awesome AirBnb, which is a super historic building just off Piazza Castello. They had ancient doors that they had to show us how to use, and it's enormous.

Anyway, we quickly threw down our bags and went in search of food...it was past lunch time, but we found a bar in Piazza Carignano that fed us sandwiches, and more importantly--Pornstar Spritzes!! We couldn't resist the name, and had to order them, of course.
So I'd say the weekend is off to a good start!
